Organization


BOH has over 2200 employees, of which 250 persons are senior engineers. Under the Bureau there have set up four professional departments:
· Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting
· Hydrology and Water Resources
· Hygrometry Research Institute
· Network and Information Centre
In addition, BOH runs 7 hydrological and water resources survey sub-bureaus (also named water environment monitoring centres) in Chongqing, Wuhan, Nanjing, Yichang, Jingzhou, Danjiangkou and Shanghai.
